Growing up in South Africa, we hardly celebrated Halloween and I’m not into anything scary. I wanted to create this Not So Spooky Halloween table that was cute and fun. My vision was to include a spooky house, pumpkins and cauldrons with the colour schemes of orange, purple and black. This is my first Halloween table and looking forward to creating many more.

DECOR
All the paper elements (The BOO banner, paper witch, paper spider web, ghost house, mini paper features) were created and cut with my Cricut machine. I thought having cute and simple paper elements here and there brought interest and surprise to the table.
I added candles and fake spider webs to create the spooky feel and definitely created the atmosphere. The day we created this table, the weather was rainy and grey. Perfect for creating a spooky atmosphere.
I recently purchased the glass dome and was perfect for my first project using it. All the paper designs can be found in Cricuts design library. I added fake spider webs on the base, stuck the paper items down and added a fake candle at the back to finish it off. It came out perfect.
As pumpkins are in season, what a great way to add it as decor.
The items bought for the tablescape:
Glass dome – Ikea
Fake spider web – Dollar store
Large cauldron – Walmart
Set of smaller cauldrons – Michaels
Candles – Ikea
FOOD
For this table, I decided on a sweet charcuterie board filled with sugar cookies and Halloween gummies.
I wanted to use cauldrons for this table. So I decided to fill the large cauldron with potato chips and add a paper witch for a whimsical touch. One of the smaller cauldrons are filled with cheese and the other with pistachios.
