Hi, I’m Leanne
I grew up in South Africa and currently living in Canada. I love baking sugar cookies, arts and crafts and party decorating.
My first experience party planning was a high tea with my friends from high school. With no influence of Instagram or Pinterest back in the days, I created a table with a pink theme, freshly cut roses from the garden and homemade delicate treats. I truly felt a spark inside and joy… I would take magazine clippings and scrapbook decor and party ideas.
After high school, I studied Hospitality Management and had the opportunity to intern at an award winning catering company By word of Mouth Catering in South Africa. I learned many skills from preparing and serving canapes to decorating tablescapes.
During the years, I gained hospitality experience from hotels in South Africa and Canada.
I started making sugar cookies for fun in 2011 but decided to give it a break. In 2020, I started baking custom sugar cookies and call my small business Confectioneries of Leanne. This has lead to me expanding my creativity through this blog and excited to share a collection of party ideas, inspiration, craft projects and fun recipes.
