A Pink Christmas table for any pink lovers. This popular trend allows you to think outside of the traditional Christmas colours. Think pink trees, light shades of blush or deep pink, pink plates and nutcrackers. Anything pink items can be used to create a playful and bright table.
I saw the below pink Christmas plates at Superstore and it sparked an idea to create a pink Christmas table. These plates are designed beautifully, I’m sure I will use them every year.
Pink Gingerbread house
This was my first time making a gingerbread house and I had so much fun creating it. The house cookie cutters are from The Cake Mama. I used royal icing and sprinkle balls to decorate the house. You can decorate it anyway you like, my vision was to cover the roof fully with icing and only add the details on the sides. That way, you can still see the gingerbread. Taking advantage of the pink theme, the gingerbread house has many girly details like the hearts and swirls.
I didn’t have a cake stand during time and relied on my creativity to improvise. A gold tray and wire basket created my cake stand. This was my center piece and kept as a decoration on the table
Decorations
I kept this tablescape minimal while still creating interest. The main focus was the gingerbread house. I used a glitter sheet from the dollar store as the table runner. I also used mini pink trees from Walmart and pink christmas plates from Superstore.
For my DIY items, pom poms and crackers. I will have blog posts on how I created both. The pom poms were made in pink and white. The crackers have chocolate in them as well.
Treats
Macarons – The macarons were made by my friend Rachel of Artee Bakes . I chose matcha and lemon macarons. The lemon macarons had lemon curd filling. Very lemony and the perfect flavour to accompany the other treats.
Almond Rocha – These chocolates are a favourite and the gold wrapper works well with the colour scheme.
Sugar cookies – I made mini vanilla sugar cookies with royal icing. The designs included pink trees, snow globe, gingerbread man, snowman and pink snowflakes.
