Gift Wrapping Inspiration for the Holidays

Today I’m sharing with you gift wrapping inspiration for the holidays. I came up with these ideas from craft projects I have been interested in lately. Like using wax seals, pom pom making and creating paper ornaments. You can add anything as decoration to your gift wrap, think of unconventional items or items that the recipient likes.

Wax Seal

I have always had a fascination with wax seals and the process of using them. I decided to include a wax seal on this gift to add an old world charm to a modern gift wrap. It is best to create the seal on a silicone surface and then adhere it to the final surface with double sided tape. This allows you to choose the best made seal without the pressure of being permanent to the surface and unable to remove it.

Sugar Cookies

I was packaging sugar cookies one day and thought about making it an edible gift tag. You could also add the recipients name on the cookie as well. The cookie, ribbon and gift wrap could have a matching colour scheme for a cohesive look.

Pom Pom

Pom poms are always in fashion and you can not go wrong with adding one or two as decoration. If you have free time and some wool you can easily make them while watching TV.

Ornaments

The easiest decoration to add interest to your holiday wrapping. Today, there are so many kinds of ornaments to choose from and inexpensive too. The tree ornament was purchased at the dollar store and the ornament below I designed and cut it with my Cricut machine.
